Chris Coughlin
Chris Coughlin
Chris Coughlin is a Professor of Law at Wake Forest University School of Law where she teaches, among other classes, Racial Justice Advocacy. She is widely recognized for both her teaching and scholarship. She is the recipient of the 2017 Mary S. Lawrence Award from the Legal Writing Institute, the Wake Forest University Teaching and Learning Center’s Teaching Innovation Award, the Joseph Branch Award for Excellence in Teaching and a multi-year recipient of the Graham Award for Excellence in Teaching Legal Research and Writing. Professor Coughlin also has appointments in the Wake Forest University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and is a core faculty member in the Wake Forest University Center for Bioethics, Health & Society. She is a member of the American Law Institute. Chris has served on the board of several non-profits in the past and is committed to the justice-focused mission of the Prosecutor Accountability Project.
Andrew Chamberlin
Andrew Chamberlin
Andrew Chamberlin is a civil litigator and trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. He is currently the President of the International Association of Defense Counsel. Though Andrew’s practice does not involve criminal law, his commitment to equality and serving the poor is longstanding. Andrew marched with Coretta Scott King, Andrew Young and Jesse Jackson and thousands of others in Forsyth County, Georgia in 1987 to protest the action of the Ku Klux Klan. He was an early member and leader of the Equal Justice Foundation at the University of Georgia School of Law from 1988 to 1990. After moving to North Carolina in 1990, he co-founded the Downtown Roundball Basketball Tournament to benefit the Greensboro Urban Ministry, co-founded Serving Greensboro Together to benefit Greensboro Urban Ministry, and co-founded a Friday Morning Breakfast for the homeless that has been in continuous operation for 15 years. Andrew also served on the Board of Greensboro Urban Ministry for 6 years, serving as its President for one year. Andrew is committed to the efforts of the Prosecutor Accountability Project to ensure that all Americans, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or financial means are treated justly within our legal system.

Nicholas A. Sensley, BSC., MBA
A 24-year veteran police officer, Chief (Ret.) Nicholas Sensley is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for American Police Reform. The Institute for American Police Reform (IAPR) is a non-partisan agency providing guidance on policing laws and policies, leadership coaching, organization consulting, and standards and training development to state and local governments and the policing services they authorize and oversee. The IAPR goal is to ensure immutable regard for human dignity, inculcate a culture of servant leadership, and fortify citizens’ trust in police service across the United States.
His diverse experiences include military and police service and volunteer development in transitioning and developing nations around the world. In 2001, Nicholas formed Cross Sector Solutions LLC as an international consortium of experts who build and facilitate strategic partnerships among governmental, nongovernmental, and corporate organizations to benefit development in communities throughout the world.

Jim Goetz is a Partner at Sequoia Capital, where he has been affiliated for 25 years. Jim and his partners made historic early investments into a cadre of category-defining technology companies, including Apple, Cisco, Google and Nvidia and more recently AirBnB, ByteDance, DoorDash, Github, Hubspot, Instagram, LinkedIn, PayPal, Robinhood, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Square, Stripe, TikTok, Toutiao, Unity, WhatsApp, YouTube and Zoom. Sequoia’s close alliances with young founders have helped transform fledgling companies into institutional household names exceeding $5 trillion in total market cap, an industry record.
Jim was appointed Steward of Sequoia Capital in 2012, where he co-led the global partnership with Neil Shen and Doug Leone until 2017. Prior to serving as Steward, Jim co-led Sequoia’s venture business with Roelof Botha. In 2009, he spearheaded the expansion into the long/short hedge effort, Sequoia Capital Global Equities.

Prior to joining Sequoia Capital as an investor, Jim co-founded VitalSigns in 1995 (Sequoia led its Series A fundraising). VitalSigns became the pioneer in application performance management. By the turn of the century, the company had established itself as a profitable market leader deploying more than 25 million agents and generating more than $100 million in annual sales.
Throughout Jim’s early career, he served as Vice President of Network Management at Synoptics and held various engineering and marketing roles at AT&T, AT&T Bell Labs and Digital Equipment. Jim earned a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MSEE Computer Systems from Stanford University.
Jim is a board member of Intel Corporation (INTC), Palo Alto Networks (PANW) and numerous private companies. Through his philanthropic work, Jim promotes digital inclusion, supports tuition costs for low-income university students and supports criminal justice reform. He is the Founder and Chairman of Mae Philanthropies & Casimir Holdings. Jim also Co-Chairs the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund.

J.Tom Morgan
J.Tom Morgan is currently a professor at Western Carolina University where he teaches Criminal Law, Ethics, and Criminal Procedure. He was a prosecutor in DeKalb County, Georgia for 21 years and was the elected District Attorney for three terms. He was awarded the International Prosecutor of the Year in 2002 by the International Association of Prosecutors.

Eileen Prescott, Director
Eileen Prescott is the Project Director for the Accountable Prosecutor Project at Wake Forest University Law School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. Eileen worked in two different prosecutors’ offices during law school, including the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago. Upon graduation, she clerked for the Honorable James E. Shadid in the Central District of Illinois. Following her clerkship, Eileen moved to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she specialized in federal habeas cases involving state convictions. Eileen is licensed in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, and admitted to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
